Australian Aerosol Association postpones Gala to November; extends award entry deadline

Written on: July 28, 2021 by SprayTM

On July 28, Philip Fleming, Executive Director of the Aerosol Association of Australia Inc., made the following announcement concerning the Australasian Aerosol Industry Awards Gala Dinner at Pier One Hotel, Sydney, Australia:

Since we re-scheduled our “aerosol2020” event to September 2021, we have unfortunately seen the highly transmissible Delta strain of COVID-19 emerge in [the State of] NSW and spread to several other States, leading to a range of restrictions, including “stay at home” orders and bans on inter-State travel.

Unfortunately the current situation in NSW looks especially challenging and today’s announcement of the extension of that State’s “lock-down” for a further four weeks means that the outlook for our event on  September 16 is not promising.

Accordingly, and in the interests of ensuring a safe event which delivers the maximum value to attendees and sponsors, the Association’s Executive has resolved to reschedule the event to TUESDAY 16 NOVEMBER  2021 (and we have shifted our booking at ‘Water@Pier One’ accordingly).

We thank you for your continued patience and acknowledge the support of our sponsors, event organisers and Pier One Hotel – all of whom share our commitment to delivering a world-class celebration of innovation and excellence in the aerosol industry – and look forward to seeing you at our event on November 16!

Please note that entries for the Australian Aerosol Industry Awards remain open with the closing date for entries now extended to COB FRIDAY 15 OCTOBER (a revised Entry Form which reflects this change will shortly be available at

A separate announcement about plans for our 2021 Members’ Annual Meeting will be made shortly.

In the interim, please stay safe and healthy!
