P&G’s Native partners with Salvalco on new deodorant sprays

Native brand, from Procter & Gamble, has launched into a new category: deodorant and body spray. The vegan, cruelty- and aluminum-free aerosol deodorants offer effective odor protection with naturally derived ingredients and a nitrogen propellant. It comes in six scents: Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Eucalyptus & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Sea Salt & Cedar and Sweet Peach & Nectar.

Native’s new two-in-one deodorant and body sprays—which hit stores such as  Walgreens, Kroger, Walmart and Target on Dec. 13—are a collaboration with Salvalco, who supplied the inert gas propelled Eco-Valve. Native has long been known for its natural deodorant, skin, body and hair care products, but this new launch is the brand’s first venture into spray deodorant. The opportunity was made possible through Salvalco’s Eco-Valve technology, which uses environmentally friendly inert gas propellants such as nitrogen.

A growing demand from consumers was one of the reasons influencing Native’s move into aerosols. The new spray stays true to the brand’s commitment to simple and effective formulations focusing on clean ingredients and natural propellant, according to the company.

Peter Shaw, Managing Director of Salvalco said, “We are incredibly proud of the collaboration with P&G and to have yet another prestigious multinational global company taking up Eco-Valve. Seeing brands like Native reaping the many benefits that our technology offers is very rewarding.”
