Coster Group announced the publication of its eighth Sustainability Report, showcasing a year of significant progress across environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimensions.
The year 2024 marked an important milestone in Coster’s sustainability journey, the company noted: 100% of its electricity consumption was sourced from renewable energy. This achievement, along with the validation of its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirms the Group’s alignment with the 1.5°C climate pathway. Furthermore, the company’s commitment to circularity was reinforced by achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certification across all eight Italian production sites, with 99.995% of waste diverted from landfill or incineration.
Innovation remained central to the Group’s strategy, marked by the launch of a metering bag-on-valve, as well as several POM-free components. The Group’s Machinery Business Unit developed the new Green-gas-ready filling machine designed for low-GWP propellants in pharma applications.
The report also highlights the company’s social commitment through the launch of “Together for Better,” a new initiative under the CosterCares program aimed at fostering positive social impact, and underscores the expansion of Coster Group’s global footprint with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art facility in Cabreúva, Brazil, strengthening its international presence and operational capabilities.
