The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) has announced an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Education webinar series.
The first webinar, Managing Cost & Change Under EPR, will be held on Sept. 23, from 1-2 p.m. EDT. This session will dig into the total impact of EPR on packaging suppliers, manufacturers and producers, and investigate potential next steps to reach compliance and performance goals in the post-EPR economy. Attendees will learn how to break down how EPR affects packaging costs, performance needs and supply chain decisions; identify design levers and product constraints that influence fee outcomes; and how to coordinate packaging, product, and procurement teams to adapt efficiently. Speakers will be Ramboll‘s Corinna Kester, Senior Sustainability Manager, and Colin Preston, Managing Consultant.
The second webinar, LCA Compliance & Opportunities, will take place on Oct. 7, from 1-2 p.m. EDT. This session will unpack the regulatory requirements for life cycle assessments (LCAs) in Oregon, as well as address broader opportunities that LCAs deliver to increase packaging efficiency and capitalize on broader eco-modulation criteria across the U.S. Attendees can expect an overview of LCA compliance requirements under Oregon’s EPR law; learn how LCA data can inform packaging decisions and eco-modulation pathways; and explore how LCA-driven insights can unlock additional value. For this webinar, speakers will be two of Ramboll‘s Managing Consultants, Colin Preston and Rebecca Spellissy.
Registration fees are $125 for HCPA members and $175 for non-members to attend an individual webinar, or $225 for members and $325 for non-members to attend both sessions. For those unable to attend, the webinar will be recorded and made available via email to registered participants. Visit thehcpa.org to register.
