The Aerosol Association of Australia (AAA) has announced the appointment of Gary Bowman as Executive Director.

Bowman has a PhD in chemistry and has held senior regional and global positions in the chemicals manufacturing industry for over 30 years, most recently with Reckitt where he focused on product innovation and regulatory affairs.
Association President David Cowper noted, “Gary brings an incredibly strong track record in these keys areas and shares the Executive’s passion and commitment to see the Association build upon its proud 61-year history of providing leadership for the Australian aerosol industry.”

Cowper also acknowledged the contribution of outgoing Executive Director Philip Fleming, who has led the Association for the past 29 years.
“I’d like to thank Philip for his outstanding contribution to the Association, and the Australasian aerosol industry more broadly,” he stated.
“Under his leadership, the Association has broadened its regional and international profile—through initiatives such as the Asian Aerosol Federation—and presented a responsible and representative voice on issues like sustainability and product misuse.”
Bowman assumed the role on November. As a result of the servicing agreement with the Aerosol Association of New Zealand Inc., he is also Executive Officer of that body.
