Cosmetic Industry Buyers & Suppliers (CIBS) has elected Liana Cook as its 78th President.

Cook follows in the footsteps of her father, Charles Marchese, who served as President in 2010—which she said makes her appointment one of professional significance and a continuation of a family legacy deeply intertwined in the beauty and cosmetic packaging world. Her father founded ABA Packaging in 1984 alongside his father, Leo Marchese, and Cook now serves as VP of the primary packaging company.
Cook joined CIBS in 2017 and noted that some of her most meaningful experiences have come from supporting entrepreneurs launching their own cosmetic lines, and working with customers and suppliers who once collaborated with her grandparents decades ago.
As President, Cook plans to put membership front and center with a vision she reports is one of collaboration, fresh energy and building an even stronger sense of community.
“I am honored, grateful, and so excited for the year ahead,” she shared, extending thanks to her family, mentors and the entire CIBS community for their encouragement and support.
