The Associação Brasileira de Aerossóis (Brazilian Aerosol Association, or ABAS) elected its Administrative Council for the 2026–2027 term at a meeting held in November.

The selection of the new Council reflects the continuity of the work developed and reaffirms a collective vision oriented toward sustainable growth, representativeness and the ongoing professionalization of ABAS, the association shared.

Atilla Almasy of Aercamp has been named Presidente Conselho (or Chairman of the Board) and Artur Decote of Bispharma as Vice Presidente (VP). The Donos de Marca/Envasadoras (or Brand Owners/Aerosol Fillers) are Dimitri Giokaris of Aerojet; Sergio Leopoldo of Aeroflex; and Almasy. Representing the Embalagens Metalicas (or Metal Packagers) division is Decote, and Rodrigo Minami of Spraytech and Tiago Marion of Coster de Brazil are the Valvulas (Valve Suppliers) on the Board. Finally, Propelentes (Propellant Suppliers) are represented by Jorge Rechenioti of Copa Energia and Marco Barral of Ultragaz.

ABAS reported that the 2024–2025 management period was marked by significant structural advances, establishing solid foundations for the future of the association. This period consolidated a new phase with a focus on governance, professionalization, transparency and closer engagement with its members.

Among the main achievements, ABAS noted the following stand-outs:

  • Approval of the reform of the Bylaws (November/2025);
  • Creation of a paid Executive Presidency;
  • Strengthening of the strategic role of the Administrative Council;
  • Establishment of clear rules for eligibility, slate formation, and succession;
  • Inclusion of competitive compliance guidelines, LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law), and a Code of Ethics;
  • Creation of the Fiscal Council;
  • Implementation of more than 33 internal policies;
  • Hiring of an external audit firm and full structuring of administrative, financial and legal processes.

These initiatives significantly raised ABAS’s level of governance, promoting greater institutional security, predictability and credibility among members and the market, according to the association.
