ACI launches Safe and Clean at Home campaign

The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has launched the new Safe and Clean at Home initiative, featuring daily challenges, reminders, tips and ideas on proper cleaning and hygiene, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online campaign can be visited at #SafeAndCleanAtHome on ACI’s social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

According to ACI’s latest National Cleaning Survey, 78% of Americans spring clean each year. ACI expects even more people to spring clean this year, as many of people are working from home due to the COVID-19 crisis. At the same time, households are more isolated than before as they practice social distancing to “flatten the curve.”

The #SafeAndCleanAtHome initiative can help break cleaning and organizing efforts into manageable pieces, conveys important cleaning tips and safety information, and connect families through fun shared projects.

“Through daily inspiring invitations and challenges, we can keep cleaning tasks from piling up and improve our living spaces, focusing on what we can control as a way to de-stress during these uncertain times,” said Melissa Hockstad, ACI President & CEO. “We will get through this and emerge with improved cleaning habits at home and a stronger community online.”

The messages will also include common sense reminders about ahering to home safety, storing cleaning products out of sight and reach of young children, and reading product label directions for maximum effectiveness.
