P&G set to launch liquid-free cleansers for the home and body

Procter & Gamble Co. announced that it plans to roll out a new brand called DS3 by late 2019, which includes eight liquid-free cleaning products for personal and home care. The products were designed using a proprietary technology that eliminates water from the final product, removing 80% of the products’ weight and reducing 70% of space required to ship the products. The compact size of DS3 products also makes them travel friendly and better for the environment. The packaging will be reportedly recyclable and biodegradable. Pricing has not yet been disclosed. In addition to facial cleanser, body wash, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, the DS3 line includes laundry detergent, surface cleaner and toilet cleaner. To activate the products, consumers remove a swatch from packaging and add water.
