ADF&PCD Paris set for January 29-30 alongside premium drink packaging show

ADF&PCD Paris returns January 29–30, 2020 alongside a brand new show, PLD: Packaging of Premium & Luxury Drinks. Held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris, the theme is “Innovate Together” to reflect the show’s position as an event that covers the closely related markets of drinks, cosmetics and aerosols and their packaging teams from design, marketing and packaging development to buying.

“It is clear that packaging developers, designers and buyers share common challenges across the cosmetics, drinks and aerosol markets—both in terms of technical challenges and brand positioning,” said Josh Brooks, event director at ADF&PCD and PLD Paris 2020. “The launch of PLD is a direct response to demand from our community for an event that offers the opportunity for packaging creators in the premium and luxury drinks markets to source and share technologies and ideas; and to learn from their colleagues in aligned sectors.”

Advisory Board launch
ADF&PCD and PLD Paris 2020’s conference agenda has been developed in close partnership with an official Advisory Board, comprised of senior executives in cosmetics, drinks and personal care industry and representing brands such as Beiersdorf, Coty, Diageo, Edrington, Interparfums, Kao, Unilever and more.

“Our Advisory Board is an evolution of our existing relationships with the market,” added Brooks. “It’s a strong endorsement of the quality content we offer each year, both in our theatres and across the show floor. It also demonstrates just how deeply ADF&PCD has become embedded within the community since its launch in 2001.”

Confirmed speakers for this year’s event include senior representatives from Beiersdorf, Diageo, Johnson & Johnson, Pernod Ricard and more. There will be 16 hours of content, covering the key themes and challenges in packaging development: technical challenges, sustainability and material choice, consumer and market trends, design inspiration and cross-functional team challenges.

Show Floor and Awards
The cross-market/cross disciplinary ethos extends to the show floor, which is organized to allow cross-pollination between ADF&PCD and PLD exhibitors. A gallery of winners of the Pentawards will showcase the very best of 2019 entries from across the full spread of the packaging world.

The ADF&PCD Paris 2020 Awards nominations are open up until Nov. 7. For more info, visit: https://www.adfpcdparis.com/en/live-events/awards/
