Consumer Product Regulation Amendments are now law

Doug Raymond, Raymond Regulatory Resources (3R), LLC, on behalf of the National Aerosol Association, announced that Ravi Ramalingam, California Air Resources Board (CARB) Branch Chief, Consumer Products & Air Quality Assessment Branch, has informed the aerosol industry that the Consumer Product Regulation Amendments were approved by the Office of Administrative Law and filed with the Secretary of State on August 1, 2022. As such, the amendments are effective.
This means that the 2021 Amendments setting new volatile organic compound (VOC) limits for Air Freshener, Hair Spray, Dry Shampoo, Personal Fragranc , etc., are now in law with some coming effective on 1/1/2023.
